The Unique FlyAngel Professional Planning Process

The FlyAngel Professional, priced at £800 uses the same hardware as the standard FlyAngel in the cockpit, but comes with the addition of our Flight Planning software complete with the Pooley's Flight guide.

Planning with Flymap Win is very simple, here we take you through the process and show why Flymap Win perfectly complements the FlyAngel.

 Input Your Route Minimize

 Check the weather Minimize

Weather 2.jpgIt's essential to know what the weather is going to do, so Flymap allows you to download and view the weather directly overlaid onto the map. It is colour coded by severity and you can also download and animate previous weather pictures in order to show trends. This service requires a subscription.

 Check NOTAMs Minimize

Flymap Win allows you to automatically download and visually display NOTAMs on the map. Hovering your mouse over the NOTAM displays the text and validity. Having the NOTAMs visually on the map makes it  very easy to check that you haven't missed anything on the AIS. The user has the option either to leave a NOTAM on the map or remove it. A year's subscription to this server is available at £5 per month.

Check the Route in Google Earth Minimize

Once a route has been input, it can be sent to Google Earth, a utility which allows the user to display the route and airspace directly overlaid onto topographically correct aerial photographs. This can be used not only for checking the airspace but also for viewing airfields from the direction of approach prior to flight.
